Creating
A Redirection Page
For Your Affiliate URL
Instead
of using your longer affiliate URL you can create a simple redirect
page on your website. Here's how to do this:
You'll
create a subdirectory at your site like www.yoursite.com/system/
(if you don't know how to do this ask your webmaster, please don't
ask me because I'm not technical) and when people click on this
page it'll automatically redirect them to your affiliate link
with us!
Let's
say you're promoting Instant Web Profits System
So
anyone that clicks on www.yoursite.com/system/ will be redirected
to: http://www.websiteconversionexpert.com/cmd.php?Clk=xxxxxx
Here's
the code to make this happen:
|
<html><body>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;
url=http://www.websiteconversionexpert.com/cmd.php?Clk=xxxxxx">
</body></html>
<a
href="http://www.websiteconversionexpert.com/cmd.php?Clk=xxxxxx">
<img src="yourbannergraphic.gif" border=0></a>
|
So
now you can use the shorter and 'cleaner' www.yoursite.com/system/
URL in your promotions!
This
one little trick helps you get more clicks because it doesn't
look like an obvious paid link.
Warning:
How To Protect Yourself
From Affiliate Link Hijacking
In 60 Seconds Or Less!
Somebody
somewhere is ripping off a piece of your affiliate paycheck this
very second.
What
I am talking about?
I
am talking about those affiliate link hijackers who take your
affiliates commissions by replacing your affiliate links with
theirs?
I
am talking about the visitors who bypass your affiliates ID, taking
your hard-earned commission right out of your pocket?
It's
estimated nearly 40% of affiliate commissions are lost because
of affiliate theft. Assuming you should be earning $2,000.00 a
month on a particular program, you are losing $800 of your check
to thieves.
In
other words, you are being cheated out of $9,600.00 per year!
Ouch!
Affiliate
link hijacking and bypassing are possibly the most serious problems
facing today's Internet marketers. Here's an example:
|
Suppose
your original affiliate link is:
http://www.turnkeyaffiliateprogram.com/?YOUR-ID
The
potential commission thief can hijack it by just replacing
it with:
http://www.turnkeyaffiliateprogram.com
/?THIEF-ID
Or,
for some reason, your prospect simply removed or chopped
off your affiliate ID, and it becomes:
http://www.turnkeyaffiliateprogram.com
